1964 GMC 1000 Radiator Problem No Problem!

In this post we are working on the radiator, about 3000 miles ago I had the belt fall off and it made the truck over heat and it blew some small holes in the top right corner of the radiator. I was able to fix it but it only lasted about 1000 miles before it started leaking again. It was a very small leak but i wanted to get it fixed so i pulled it out to clean up again and to re solder it. Witch did not go as planed after about 3 attempt's the radiator was spent in the being fix department. Lucky that's not a problem my 4x4 is in a rut with the winter weather and the recent work i have put in the 64 so its radiator has been sitting on the bench for months so i thought what the hell ill run it in the 64 until i can find another one in the junkyard seeing how a new one runs around 350 bucks.

Sprayed everything down with a de greaser and gave it a bath before i started to work.

She still looks beautiful at this point I have personally put almost 20,000 miles on this org motor putting us at around 130,000 total on the truck and motor.

This is the radiator support I build doing the body drop but for the 305 big block v6 radiator its going to need to come out.

Nice bolts right in but it is twice as thick so that fan just wont do anymore but i think i can fix that problem.

Actually looks way better then the org.

Set up an electric fan to replace the motor driven fan this set up will eventually be on the 4x4 along with the motor driven fan to be turned on when playing off road.

Its on the small side but it kicks out some power and has been working just fine so far on the truck but its winter time as of now.

Switch ran its the one to the right next to the horn button. 

Had to get a new neck piece because the 60's radiator neck is in the middle.
