1964 GMC 1000 One Piece At A Time.

Tearing into some body work on the ol 64!

Don't forget to check the past projects on the truck under 2 Mile Pass. Also check out my 1960 K1000 4x4 Project.

I got this hood for 50 dollars at a pick in pull and I like it much better then the org hood to a 64 gmc.

It has its dents and dings and even a few from me.

Both of my gmc's have totally lost there brakes while under construction and I crashed the 64 into the house at about 2 miles per hour just fast enough to dent up the hood and trash the aluminium siding around the garage door whoops!

Removing paint the old fashion way i need a sand blaster!
Think layers lol.

Finely a ending in sight all the paints gone and i've pulled out a few dents and smacked some stuff around with the hammer.

Quick fix on this eye sore.

I cant say I know from experience on this one but I didn't want to weld up the factory seems all the way 1 for the time it takes and 2 for the heat you put the hood through.
So I found it fitting to tack everything up for strength under the body work.

All ready for body work.

The first of many layers.

Taking shape nicely!

Stealth blinker.
Blink;)

Still in progress.

If you want to see the latest project on the truck you can check it out at Radiator Problem No Problem! Also if you want updates on the truck don't forget to subscribe by email at the top!
